Travel Channel.

The Travel Channel and the Food Network are quite possibly two of my favorite shows and I don't think it's any surprise that one of my favorite shows combines both food AND travel, No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. From watching this fantastically entertaining show every week on the Travel Channel, I have taken on two other shows that are also on this station. One is called Mark and Olly: Living with the Tribe which takes two British men and has them live amongst a tribe in the middle of nowhere where they must adapt and do what the tribe does, day in and day out until the stay (of usually three months) is over. The second show, which actually just started a few weeks ago, is Dhani Tackles the Globe. Dhani Jones is a NFL linebacker who travels the world in search of the games people play in certain regions of the world. He then trains and learns about the culture through the sport.

All three shows are amazing and I swear, this blog posting isn't just a plug for the television shows. It is actually all about the new graphic look and tongue-in-cheek humor that the Travel Channel has implemented. They have a concept called "Catch it: the travel bug effect" and then each show has a modifier. For example, Anthony Bourdain eats lots of strange and interestingly local foods on his show so his is "Addiction to Local Flavor". Personally I love some clever copy so check out the rest of the website of travel channel and see what else is brewing; and maybe you might find a new show to love too!
